Job description:
You will be part of a team that designs the device as a whole (HW, SW, design) and you will be given the space to apply your ideas beyond your duties.
- Identify and implement technical innovations in collaboration with industrial partners, internal experts or scientists
- Calculations and modelling
- Component selection and schematic design
- Analyses, for example related to manufacturing tolerances of components
- Design of prototype DSPs and collaboration with the DSP specialist
- Definition and implementation of associated tests
- Creation of documentation and presentation of results
The position is also suitable for graduates with the aim of gaining expertise in power electronics.
About the product
On-Board Charger (OBC)
Charges the traction battery, but can also turn the vehicle into a large power bank - a bi-directional inverter connected to the 1f/3f grid.
HVLV DC/DC converter
Inverter for powering on-board electronics and battery (e.g. at 12V level) with traction battery potential as input.
Charger Inlet Controller (CIC)
Module for communication between vehicle and stationary charging station
We require:
- Enthusiasm for electronics development and willingness to further your education
- University degree in electronics
- English language skills to work with engineers abroad (especially Germany)
- Conscientiousness and precision.
We appreciate
- Experience in power electronics design - converter topologies, power semiconductors, gate circuits, winding design...
- Experience in low current converter circuit design - microprocessors, measurement channels, buses...
- EMC experience from design and measurement perspective
- Experience with DX Designer, LTspice, Python and other relevant software tools
- Knowledge of automotive environment, relevant processes and standards including international charging standards
- Knowledge of functional safety, e.g. ISO 26262
- Knowledge of technologies related to the design of medium voltage level electronics (up to 1 kV)
- Competence to work independently on electrical equipment up to 1 kV
